An antenna will help 'improve' reception but you would need a different mifi device and it can only improve if there is something there to improve on! I got a 5577 from these guys a few years ago. Think they might still have the deal with 3 which gives a free 200mb allowance/month (better than nothing!).Unfortunately, there is no way for the Huawei E5577C set to a specific network technology. The only option is the use of LTE-on and to turn off. Compared to several other mobile hotspots, this is a big disadvantage.
