Just be sure to keep in mind that the SoundCore 2 is only IPX5 water resistant, which means it’ll survive splashes but can’t be dunked into a pool like the UE Wonderboom.

That said, the SoundCore 2 is still worthy of your attention. It’s very much at the super-affordable end of the market and, thanks to the IPX7 rating, it’ll take some pretty serious abuse. Visually, it’s inoffensive compared to some of its competitors – classy even. A cheap speaker that can put up with your abuse
Battery life is an incredible 24 hours, which is much longer than much of the competition. For example, the UE Wonderboom only lasts 10 hours and the Bose SoundLink Color 2 lasts just 8 hours. Dynamics are also an issue; Lethal’s bolshy tone is present, but the detail required to fully deliver his emotional skittishness isn’t quite there. There’s a diminished space between notes – an absence of the kind of layers that would allow our ears to celebrate nuances between vocals and instruments. Verdict
Enhanced Bass: Dual passive radiators and upgraded BassUp technology work in tandem to pump up the bass in real-time—even at low volumes. Just visible behind the mesh speaker grille on the front of the cabinet are two circular drivers to handle stereo left and right high frequencies. These silver-colored drivers feature titanium cones, which is a rigid material found in popular speaker designs for the way it drives soundwaves forwards. Soundcore claims to be capable of delivering high frequencies up to 40kHz — this is a bold statement indeed, given this is beyond twice that of human hearing capabilities.For sound, the JBL Go 2 is a better option, but the Anker SoundCore 2 surpasses it for features and battery life.
