The FujiFilm Finepix S2980 (which for the purposes of this review I’ll simply refer to by its model number) is a fourteen mega pixel digital camera with an eighteen times optical zoom Fujinon lens and can take photographs with ISO’s ranging from 100 to 6400. There are a wide range of shooting modes, SR Auto scene recognition which automatically adjusts the camera settings for the scene, as well as semi-automatic and manual modes for those who are more confident in changing some of the more advanced settings. Other features include intelligent face detection, red-eye removal, blink detection and smile &shoot mode.

Why though would you use that beautiful sensor as a web cam, when web cams are so cheap?. seems it would put wear and tear on your S6000.Sample Photos - Images tend to be well exposed with good colour reproduction. Portraits have good skin tones and are free of red-eye.

Beach, Fireworks, Night, Party (indoor), Portrait, Snow, Sports, Spotlight, Sunset, Landscape (scenery) The Top 3, Final 3 and Long Period continuous shooting modes all record at full megapixel resolution, they are the stated speeds above for three shots but slow down significantly after three shots. M Top 10 and HTop 20 images are restricted to 7 and 3 megapixels respectively. Focusing struggled on occasion, particularly in low light conditions. I think the way to do it would be using the audio video lead supplied and you would also need a mains power supply for the 5V input or else the batteries would soon run flat.I have not been into serious photography for 50 years.I am trying to understand the latest technology which is obviously so different.Therefore I thought the Fuji s2980 would give me experience as now and I could then make a better judgement on a better bridge or slr. Then we bought the finepix f70 exr and i don’t like it at all. Not only because it is compact and not confortable to hold to take pictures, but especialy, the colors are bad, without life! Hi, i am considering to move from compact to bridge cam, is this camera has build-in charger? or you need to charge the battery separately..
