I am in the market for an 18tb drive. Saw some good prices for the Seagate EXOS but there are different models and I'm not sure what the differences are. Any ideas?

They can be warm so use a fan accordingly. I would not cram these into a tiny box that hides inside a cabinet without adequate ventilation. They will take command input to modify the factory settings. I like to have them spin down after 15 min of inactivity (a debatable practice I know). Ubuntu 20.02 running RAID 1. 1.5 year review. These drives are a little noisy on spin up but my server is in a non-living area. The noise is specifically a "bloop and chitter" if you are familiar with that sound profile.
